What is The Heights White Linen night?
Picture this: Houstonians channeling their inner vacation mode, decked out in breezy linen (or whatever white outfit they can pull together), sipping seltzers, and dancing in the streets to a playlist that screams Summer nostalgia meets Southern party vibes. That’s White Linen Night in The Heights.
It’s part block party, part fashion show, part Houstonian tradition and we wouldn’t have it any other way. From boutique hopping and bar crawling to impromptu dance circles on 19th Street, it’s one of the most iconic nights of the year. Start planning your outfit and make plans to join our social club on August 2nd!
Who attends?
If your ideal Houston Saturday includes strolling through the shops on 19th Street and sipping cocktails at Plume, then this annual event is already on your radar. But don’t worry... White Linen Night isn’t just for Heights locals. It’s for anyone who loves this historic neighborhood… and dressing head to toe in linen while sipping white wine.
What's there to do?
Shop 'til you drop, sip a little too much, overindulge—classic American pastimes, right? But seriously, there’s plenty to do. Local shops and restaurants roll out exclusive deals and host special events, while live music fills the air and the drinks keep flowing all night long. Start with shops, end with dancing!
What do you wear?
White Linen (well, as close as you can get!) Basically, anything in the “white-ish” family counts. Think of it this way: if your outfit could light up like a firefly under a blacklight, you’re good to go. And if you’re planning to dance the night away or have one too many cocktails, opt for flats or boots.

Pregame the main event with new friends, good vibes, and a chilled glass in hand
From 4–5 PM, meet up with our social club for a White Linen Night warm-up. We’ll have free BUBBL’R samples, a refreshing white wine (or NA option!), music, decor, and photo ops that will make your Instagram glow. Come mingle and kick off WLN! RSVP to lock in your spot here!
Next stop: 19th Street at 5 PM
Boutiques like Jubilee, AG Antiques, Vinal Edge Records, Manready Mercantile, on 19th street usually stay open late so you can shop local! Grab a bite at Jūn or Torchy’s Tacos, then head to We Olive for a drink and a vibe. By then, the street will be buzzing with music, art, and white linen everywhere.
After shopping, it’s time to celebrate on 19th street!
Starting at 6pm, you will need a ticket to shop and peruse 19th street! $10 to buy online or $20 onsite! More information available here. 19th Street between Yale & Ashland will be closed to vehicle traffic! There will be many vendors and concessions available on 19th as well as drinks/food available for purchase! It's basically a neighborhood street fest!
Next up, bar hop your way down 20th for drinks & dancing!
Start at Big Star Bar and make your way to Cedar Creek, Drift, McIntyre’s, and Moonshine Deck. Expect themed cocktails, neon lights, thumping music, and a crowd dressed in all white (aka glowing under black lights like human glow sticks).
Spoiler alert: That all white outfit will probably be A MESS by the end of the night! Like, Same!
You’ll likely end White Linen Night with wine on your shirt, glitter in your shoes, and a vague memory of someone splashing their cranberry mocktail all over everyone while dancing. But hey, it’s part of the charm. You’ll be back next year, armed with a bleach pen and better parking strategy.
Mark your calendars for August 2nd. White linen attire optional… but highly encouraged.
See you there!
Love to plan?! Same. Here's how to make your WLN a success:
Plan ahead! Getting around & transportation can be tricky....
Parking is chaotic, and Uber isn’t always better (especially during peak hours). So, pick your adventure wisely. If you plan to drive, park near the spot where you plan to end your night. It might mean a little extra walking or a rideshare at the start, but it’ll save you major stress later. Pro tip: Presley’s and Moonshine Deck have larger lots, but they fill up fast. Street parking is limited. Bring cash because some lots are cash-only!
WLN is not the time for your delicate white strappy heels.
Bar-hopping down 20th Street means grassy patches, uneven pavement, and lots of dancing. Save your feet and your favorite shoes! Opt for something comfortable like boots or sandals you can actually walk (and party) in.
Just want to shop and grab dinner? Arrive early.
If you’re in it for the boutiques, bites, and a laid-back experience, attend our pregame party and then show up to 19th street around 4:30-5pm. Make reservations in advance, beat the crowds, and enjoy the calm before the party storm.
